I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO PRAY!!

Do I say yes to this job offer? Is this what God wants me to do?

It seems like I'm under spiritual attack. I feel discouraged. Things seem hopeless. What can I pray?

I woke up feeling lousy. What does God's Word say about my health?

Are you ever at a loss about what to pray? Sometimes I am just too tired, too discouraged or just do not have the energy to look up Scriptures pertaining to my situation. If that sounds like you, I have a solution.

Job 22:28 (Amp) says, "You shall also decide and decree a thing, and it shall be established for you; and the light [of God's favor] shall shine upon your ways." We know that God's Word does not return void (Isa. 55:11). Declaring Scripture over your need is a powerful and effective way to pray.

When fear or anxiety begin to overrun your thoughts declare: "The Lord is my helper; I will not be seized with dread or be terrified (Heb. 13:6)."

When the enemy seems to be coming against you declare: "You will deliver and draw me to Yourself from every assault of evil (2 Tim. 4:18)."

When I am not feeling well I either declare or meditate on healing Scriptures and ask for God's wisdom about treatment. "Your words are life to those who find them and health to all my flesh (Prov. 4:22)."

I have created three Scripture Based Declaration Cards that you can use when praying for health (physical and emotional), protection, wisdom and provision.

Each card contains from 26 - 30 Scriptures that have been personalized for declaring them over yourself or your family. Use them as a bookmark in your Bible. Take them out whenever you need a quick reference, or you are at a loss as to how to pray over your circumstances.

These 4 x 9 inch scratch-resistant cards are now available for purchase on my Resources page by clicking here: http://janeglenchur.blogspot.com/p/resources.html.

I encourage you to release the power of God's Word over your situation!

  3. There are times when I struggle to pray, like yesterday. I had set several weeks aside to just sit with God and I was so excited! The during the first week I struggled to turn off the world with all of it's responsibilities. Even so, I managed to get 3 great days with the Lord. The second week I felt like I was paddling up hill to carve out time with the Lord. I prayed, I sang but I was frustrated my time with the Lord wasn't turning out like I had planned.

I have one of your prayer cards in my bible so I started declaring the scripture out loud over myself and my time with the Lord. I found myself reflecting on the Greatness of my God with each verse I declared. It made me more determined to be alone with the Lord and His word. The few times we had together have been very rich. Perhaps I am learning the power of perseverance! Thanks for sharing your prayer cards with us Jane. I have even purchased extra cards and shared them with others. They are a great way to focus on the glory of the Lord and push back the darkness at the same time!!
