YO-YO FAITH

YUCK! Fish breath! How could such a cute, cuddly companion smell soooo bad? One look at his back teeth answered that question. And I discovered yo-yo faith!

OUT OF ORDER??? Me??

I admit it - I have been missing the mark of late.

How could I write a book about hearing God and how to make decisions using God's guidance and 'suddenly' find myself not making good decisions?

Where did I go wrong?

Two Sparrows or a Headache

What – me worry? No way. I wrote a book on prayer. Hmmm. It seems I am not immune to fretting nonetheless.

One day during my prayer time God gave me an image of two sparrows sitting in His hands. Immediately this Scripture came to mind: “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father's care” (Matthew 10:29 NIV).

Matthew 6:26 also tells us that the birds of the air do not sow or reap and yet our heavenly Father feeds them all. “Are you not much more valuable than they?”

What was God trying to tell me?

We did what every young couple does; we started looking in locations that offered the type of home we desired. We walked through model homes and poured over blueprints with home builders.

I began our search with great anticipation. Having been raised in a very frugal home, I could hardly believe we were looking at building our dream house! We walked through spacious family rooms, deluxe kitchens and marveled at the possibilities. My imagination took flight with floor plans and options.

There was just one problem….

FAQ Blog #1

How long do you sit and wait for God to speak to you?

There are several answers to this question. It depends on...

  • how soon I need the answer
  • how much time I have that day to pray and listen
  • how clueless I am as to how to proceed
